RMA’s ultra-lightweight Level 3 body armor (Model #1088) is NIJ .06 certified and specifically designed with the US Navy and Marine Corps in mind as a 10×12 single curve armor plate. In addition to weighing just three pounds – this level 3 armor is positively buoyant (it floats) and will defeat multiple .308 NATO, 7.62x39msc, m193, 5.56 FMJ, along with all small arms munitions.

RMA’s lightweight body armor plates a constructed out of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) and is designed and manufactured in the USA to exceed the standards set forth by the National Institute of Justice’s standards for an NIJ 0101.06 Certifications for a stand-alone plate.  If you’re someone who wears body armor for extended periods on the job, or for training purposes, these lightweight armor plates are for you.
