Tacticon Armament's steel Armor has been a staple of their business for a long time. Ctomers continued faith and support has given them the capability to acquire state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment for the latest edition of their plate series. Introducing the lightweight level III plate. This armor plate is constructed from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE). Coming in at just over 3 lbs., this plate is less than half the weight of their lightest steel offering. The weight savings will be highly appreciated when conducting any sort of sustained operation or training exercise while still maintaining a multi-hit ballistic capability from the 7.62×51 M80 ball. This offering is coated in the same type Anti-Spall coating as their steel but serves a different purpose. The coating on this level 3 body armor plate features a weather resistant exterior that completely seals the interior from the elements. This plate comes with an 8 year ballistic warranty and is compliant to NIJ level III Standards.
